Age play

RoleplayIntensity
What it is

Age play is a form of roleplay in which one or more partners act as though they're a different age than they really are — most often younger. Props and clothing (a onesie, ruffled dresses, pacifiers, toys, even a crib) help set the scene, and the play can be sexual or entirely non-sexual, centred on comfort, care, and headspace. Acting 'older' happens, but it's far more common for someone to take a younger role — baby, child, or teen — opposite a nurturing caregiver. It is always roleplay between consenting adults. For many, slipping into that emotional 'little space' matters as much as anything erotic.

Why people are into it

The draw is often the mental shift: slipping into a carefree, cared-for 'little' headspace, or the nurturing authority of the caregiver side. It can be deeply relaxing, intimate, and a release from adult responsibility — for some erotic, for others purely emotional.

In practice

Partners agree on roles and whether the scene is sexual. The 'little' slips into a younger headspace — softer voice, toys, a onesie or specific outfit — while the caregiver nurtures, sets gentle rules, praises, or disciplines. It can be a cozy non-sexual afternoon of care or an erotic dynamic, always with adults staying in character by mutual agreement.

Safety & consent

All participants are adults, always — that's the non-negotiable line. Negotiate whether the dynamic is sexual or not, set clear boundaries and a safeword, and plan aftercare, since dropping out of 'little space' can feel vulnerable. Keep the play private and consensual on both sides.

Good to know

Age play covers a wide spread of forms — infantilism (adult-baby play), DDlg and other caregiver dynamics, and 'Daddy's girl' scenarios among them. When it is sexual, taboo relative or authority-figure roles are sometimes layered in for extra charge, though everyone involved is an adult by definition.
