Doll fetish
A doll fetish is arousal centered on dolls and doll-like figures — from a desire for sex dolls and mannequins to watching simulated 'doll' interactions, to the fantasy of a person being turned into a living doll. It splits into a few branches: attraction to the dolls themselves (agalmatophilia, the statue/doll fetish), and 'dollification,' where a partner is transformed into a doll through makeup, latex, poses, and stillness. The appeal blends beauty, control, objectification, and the uncanny stillness of the doll. It overlaps with objectification, transformation, and BDSM.
For some the appeal is the doll's flawless, silent, controllable perfection — beauty without demands. For dollification fans, being made into (or making someone into) a pretty, posable object is a deep objectification and transformation turn-on, mixing control with the uncanny.
It might mean using or collecting sex dolls, or 'dollifying' a partner — dressing them in latex or doll makeup, having them hold still and posed, moving them like an object, and roleplaying the transformation. Masks and costumes often feature.
Mostly low-risk. If dollification uses latex, masks, or bondage-like stillness, mind breathing, circulation, and overheating, and don't hold rigid poses too long. Negotiate the objectification, since being treated as a thing can hit emotionally, and give aftercare.
It has two distinct flavours: agalmatophilia (attraction to dolls, mannequins, or statues as objects) and 'dollification' (transforming a human partner into a living doll via makeup, latex, masks, and held poses). The second is a form of consensual objectification and transformation play.
