Enemas (klismaphilia)
Klismaphilia is arousal from having liquid introduced into the anus or rectum — most often via an enema. The pleasure can come from the physical sensations of fullness, pressure, and release, from the ritual and helplessness of receiving one, or from the power dynamic of a partner administering it. It ranges from practical pre-anal cleaning that becomes erotic to a fetish in its own right. It's classed as a paraphilia largely because careless technique carries real health risks. It overlaps with anal play, medical fetish, and control dynamics.
The appeal blends intense physical sensations — the swell of fullness and the intensity of release — with deep vulnerability and surrender, since the receiver hands over control of their body. For some the clinical, 'done to you' ritual is itself the turn-on.
One partner prepares and administers an enema — introducing warm water or saline through a lubricated nozzle — while the receiver holds it, often as part of a submissive or medical-play scene, before releasing. Some incorporate it as cleaning before anal sex; others enjoy it purely for the sensation.
Use a purpose-made anal enema or saline kit with a lubricated nozzle — never improvised objects — and keep the water at body temperature. Large volumes of plain water can cause water intoxication and electrolyte imbalance, so use saline or modest amounts, go gently to avoid tissue injury or perforation, clean equipment, and don't do it too frequently. Stop and see a doctor for pain, bleeding, or lasting cramping.
