Hypnotism
Hypnokink (erotic hypnosis) is the recreational, sexual use of hypnosis — using trance, suggestion, and focused relaxation for arousal and play. It ranges from light, suggestive 'mesmerism' as vanilla foreplay to deeper kink built around suggestion, triggers, and surrendering one's mind. Enthusiasts may induce trance, plant playful triggers, or roleplay mind control and 'programming.' The eroticism is largely about mental surrender — handing over control of one's thoughts and responses. It overlaps with mind-control fantasy and dominance play.
The appeal is deep mental surrender — for the subject, letting go of conscious control and being 'guided' or 'programmed' is a uniquely intimate submission; for the hypnotist, the trust and influence are a heady form of dominance. Triggers can also extend the play beyond a single scene.
The hypnotist guides the partner into a relaxed, focused trance with a calm voice and induction, then uses suggestions, imagery, or triggers for arousal or roleplay, before bringing them gently back out. Much of it also happens through audio files and scripts.
Only play with a trusted partner, since trance involves real vulnerability and suggestibility; negotiate themes and limits beforehand and avoid planting triggers someone hasn't agreed to. Don't do inductions while driving or in unsafe settings, always bring the subject fully back out, and give aftercare. People vary in suggestibility, and that's completely fine.
Contrary to stage-show myth, hypnosis can't make someone act against their genuine will or 'reprogram' them — it works with a willing, suggestible mind, and the subject can always come out of it. The 'mind control' is a consensual, collaborative fantasy, not literal domination of another's will.
