Military

Military play is roleplay using soldiers' uniforms and a martial scenario — bunkmates, a strict sergeant and a green recruit, an officer and subordinate, or a captor and captive. The uniform itself carries authority, discipline, and rank, which maps neatly onto dominance and submission, while the settings (boot camp, interrogation, the battlefield) supply ready-made power dynamics and drama. It can be a light uniform kink or an elaborate command-and-obey scenario. It overlaps with uniform fetish, authority play, and D/s. Imagination does most of the work.

The appeal is authority and hierarchy made erotic — rank means built-in dominance and obedience, and the uniform signals discipline, competence, and control. Boot-camp and captor scenarios add strictness, punishment, and high-stakes drama.

Partners assume ranks and roles — a barking drill sergeant and a recruit made to 'earn' things, an officer disciplining a subordinate, an interrogation or capture scene — dressing the part and using orders, inspections, and 'punishments' to drive it.

Mostly low-risk roleplay. Set boundaries for what each role can demand, keep a safeword if it turns strict or into captivity/interrogation, and follow the relevant safety if physical discipline or bondage joins in.
