Pictophilia
Pictophilia is sexual arousal from images — photographs, illustrations, art, and other visual erotica. For most people some response to visual porn is completely ordinary; as a fetish, pictophilia means images are a primary or necessary route to arousal, sometimes more reliably than a live partner. The imagery can be explicitly sexual or non-sexual pictures that carry a personal erotic charge. In the internet age, endless on-demand visual material makes it especially easy to engage. It overlaps with voyeurism, pornography use, and fantasy.
Humans are strongly visual, and images offer instant, controllable, endlessly varied fantasy fuel — a specific look, scene, or aesthetic on demand. For some, a picture's safety and perfection are more arousing than the unpredictability of a real encounter.
In practice it's arousal built around viewing erotic images — porn, art, photo sets, or personally charged pictures — often as a central part of masturbation or fantasy. Some collect or curate specific imagery that hits their exact taste.
Low physical risk. The main considerations are moderation (if image use starts to eclipse real intimacy) and legality/consent — only ever view legal, consensually made material, and never share images of anyone without their permission.
