Psychrocism
Psychrocism is sexual arousal from cold — feeling cold oneself, or being turned on by watching others who are cold (shivering, goosebumps, exposed to a chill). It's a niche sensation-and-visual fetish that doesn't require literally getting frigid: for many it's the sight of a cold, shivering body, or the mild, bracing feel of chill on the skin during play. It overlaps with temperature play (the cold side), sensation play, and voyeurism. The vulnerability and vividness of cold are central.
Cold jolts the nerves and shows visibly on the body — goosebumps, shivering, hardened nipples — so for a psychrocist that vulnerable, reactive state is arousing to feel or to watch. The bracing sensation also heightens awareness and contrast during play.
It might mean incorporating cold into sex — a chilly room, ice, cold air or water on the skin — or being aroused by a partner (or others) visibly cold and shivering. It pairs naturally with temperature play.
Low-risk in moderation, but real cold has limits: don't chill the body toward genuine hypothermia or leave ice/cold on one spot long enough to harm skin. Keep it a bracing thrill, not actual danger, and warm up afterward.
