Wet and Messy / Mess fetish
Wet and messy (WAM), or mess fetish, is arousal from being covered in wet, gooey, or messy substances — sexual fluids, but also food, mud, slime, lotion, and the like. One branch centers on sexual fluids specifically: using cum or wetness as lube, 'painting' a partner with it, drinking it, or passing it mouth-to-mouth (snowballing). The broader WAM world extends to any pleasurable mess. It's about texture, taboo, and abandoning tidiness for sensory indulgence. It overlaps with cum play, food play, and sploshing (the food-and-goo branch of WAM).
The appeal is sensory and psychological — the slippery, gooey textures on skin, the childlike-yet-taboo freedom of getting deliberately filthy, and, for the fluid branch, the raw intimacy of swapping and playing with bodily fluids. It's the opposite of clean, contained sex.
Partners might slather each other in substances — fluids, food, slime, lotion — and slide, smear, and play, or focus on sexual fluids: using them as lube, spreading them, or snowballing. Old sheets, a tarp, or the shower keep the cleanup manageable.
Keep substances away from the eyes and, if they're food-based, out of the vagina (infection risk); check for allergies and use body-safe materials. For fluid play, standard STI awareness applies. Mind slipping hazards on wet surfaces, and clean up well.
'Sploshing' is the food-and-substance branch of WAM — being smeared or splashed with pies, custard, gunge, and slime — while the fluid-focused branch centers on sexual fluids (including 'snowballing,' passing semen mouth-to-mouth). Both share a love of mess over neatness.
